Poems have always been a part of my life. I can recall my Great Granddad (Little Granddad I called him) reading to me from the book above (I still have it) and teaching me to read. He was a great man who was way ahead of his time. If he hadn’t been born in a time of war, but a time of technology, he would have been one of the greats like Steve Jobs.
He took me for walks in Worsley Woods and taught me about trees and plants birds, before I knew how important they all were to the life of our planet. That’s me and him above. In later years he still gave me books; 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, Robinson Crusoe, The Three Musketeers. He gave me my love of words and this site is dedicated to his memory.
